SABAI Sweater
Designed by paula_m

The SABAI Sweater is a simple pullover with a boat neck. It has a loose fit and relatively narrow sleeves for contrast—oversized yet elegant. The sweater is very easy to knit, requiring only a few techniques, making it ideal for beginners.

The SABAI Sweater is worked seamlessly top down. First, the neckline is worked and increases are made for the shoulder slope. The neckline can be worked with or without short rows, depending on the desired level of difficulty. For beginners, I recommend the version without short rows. For the armholes, front and back are each worked separately back and forth. Then the stitches of front and back are joined together and the body is worked in the round until the sweater has reached the desired length. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the side edges of front and back and sleeves are worked in the round in stockinette stitch.
