Luna Zip Sweater

The Luna Zip Sweater is worked top-down in stockinette stitch with three strands of yarn in different colors held together to create a unique melange effect. The back yoke is worked flat with short rows to shape the neckline and shoulder slopes, with increases for armhole shaping. Stitches are then picked up to work the right and left fronts separately, creating the opening for the zipper. After the front and back sections of the yoke are complete, they are joined and the body is worked in the round to the hem. Stitches are picked up along the armhole edges to work the sleeves in the round. The neckline is finished back and forth in 1x1 ribbing, and hidden bands are worked to form the zipper placket, where the zipper is sewn in at the end.
