The oversized jacket with strongly dropped shoulders, stand-up collar, and double-knit button bands, is worked entirely double stranded and seamlessly top down and starts at the accentuated shoulder line in the upper back. First, the back is worked down to the armholes, then the two front parts are worked from this shoulder line in opposite direction, front and back are then joined together at the bottom of the armholes. The sleeves are knitted directly onto the jacket and are worked in the round, then the button bands are worked. Stitches for the pockets are picked up and knitted just above the bottom border, the pockets are worked back and forth and then sewn on the jacket.
Alternatively, the jacket can also be knitted using 1 strand Como Grande or Como Grande Tweed.

GAUGE

• 18 sts and 25 rows using ndl size 5.5 mm (US 9/UK 5), worked double stranded (1 strand Como Tweed + 1 strand Como) in main pattern = 10 x 10 cm / 4” square

NEEDLES
• 40 cm / 16” and 80–100 cm / 32-40” circular needles sizes 5 mm (US 8/UK 6) and 5.5 mm (US 9/UK 5), optionally dpns in both sizes instead of short circular needles, 1 dpn size 5 mm (US 8/UK 6) (for button bands)
